Project Title: Amplify Literacy Learning: Research-based PD that Comes Alongside Classroom Teachers to Increase the Impact of Evidence-based Literacy Instruction
Goal: Generate evidence on how Amplify impacts teacher professional learning, AI-supported lesson design, and literacy coaching on both teacher efficacy and student reading achievement
Participants: Approximately 84 schools, teacher leaders, administrators; 336 teachers; 6,720 students in grades 4–5 across two cohorts of rural and small-town districts in Missouri.
Outcomes Measured:
Teachers: Increased EBLI, self-efficacy, instructional quality, reduced burnout
Students: MAP ELA scores, engagement, writing portfolio quality

Project activities: Amplify delivers a hybrid professional learning model (synchronous modules + ECHO virtual meetings), a teacher-leader coaching structure, and AI-supported lesson planning tools. Classroom implementation will use Swivl cameras for coaching and feedback.
